Former American President George W Bush was in Calgary on Tuesday for his first speaking engagement since he left the Presidency.  It was a $400/plate invitation only event and people actually PAID for it.

So let me get this straight here. If I become a world leader, break international laws, and bring an entire country to its knees over fabled WMDs, I can speak at the Telus Convention centre and make a killing off of the local conservatives? Huh. He needs a button “Become President. Ask Me How.”

Seriously though, this man has admitted and been investigated for commiting WAR CRIMES. You know, those charges pressed against the Nazi’s? Yeah that kind of thing. And he’s walking around, free and completely unafraid of prosecution! Why? Because the people lost their power a long time ago.

I hate to start talking about revolution and the fall of our current system, because Goddess knows I am the last person that wants to get off his ass. So much work. But this has to be said. So here it goes.

At what point did our society (both Canadian and American) decide that they no longer wanted our governments to be accountable to its people. Every day laws are passed that makes the government’s system and policies just that single step more complicated. It gives them loopholes to abuse power, and to do whatever they want under the guise of legality. Bush is an example of this problem. And what do the people of our society do? Well a few bitch and moan for awhile, but that’s about it.

Both US and Canadian citizens are living in a delusion if they actually believe they still live in a “by the people, for the people” country anymore. Canada is a dressed-up socialist country, which normally is fine, except that our current leader, Harper was Bush’s little manwhore. And as far as I can tell, still remains firmly in the US’s pocket. Bent over, with a big penis up his rear exit that says U.S.A across it.

The people have had their power taken away, slowly but surely, and personally I think that was the whole plan with Democracy the entire time. Make the people feel free and lucky, then slowly turn the free world into a better managed tyrrany.

It’s been a very long time since the word “revolution” has been used. And for those that know me, I’m the last person that would normally speak on such matters. But like Obama said, it’s time for change. And the people need to be the source of this change. All you blind fools out there, staring at your computers and TVs, texting away on your blackberries, WAKE UP.

As of this time, the internet is truly the only place with any measure of real freedom, and with new laws passing everyday to control information and put into place new systems of control, even that may not be so for much longer.

Some would argue that these tougher control mechanisms and laws are meant to keep the public safe from terrorism and crime and such. A valid arguement if these control methods had a measurable impact. One that could be validated rather then just some 500 page government report stating essentially “this works, you should believe us, we’re your government”.

If we do not start standing up and going “hey, wait a minute, that’s wrong” and fight against this leash that shrinks everyday, we will be herd animals and slaves. Is that what you want for your children?

Our society and its long lived structure is comming to a close in the near future. Everything we know will change completely, and when it does it will be quick and violent. All those that stand on the side lines and watch will become victims of this bloody storm of truth. Get your heads out of your asses and wake up. It is time for the purging of the old and building of the new.

I can hear you snoring. Idiots.
